For the last few months, dozens of organizations and individuals have been meeting to discuss the different movements, projects, campaigns, etc. being organized in Sonoma County- from immigrants' rights to peace issues, from environmental defense to independent media, and from police accountability to labor. Roughly 60 people, representing 35 organizations have participated thus far, and we would like to see those numbers continue to grow. So we are inviting everyone from around the Bay to come check out this next meeting, where we will discuss the nature of this new effort, what name and shape it may take, and how we can continue to build solidarity between different movements and community organizations.

This effort has so far been facilitated by IMPACT!, a radical youth organization in Petaluma that works on immigrants' rights, labor, and police brutality issues. However, it is not controlled by IMPACT! Rather, we hope to see it blossom in to a much broader entity, involving all sorts of elements of our communities, similar to the popular assemblies of places like Mexico and Argentina.
