San Diego's IWW marched through Hillcrest and picketed the New Alternatives, Inc. office today. A local Wobbly organizer was fired from a New Alternatives school weeks ago after he initiated and made progress for the non-union workers at the school to become union under the Industrial Workers of the World. Video highlights the march further discusses the day's action.

I contacted the IWW about organizing my place in LA but never got an answer, then I contacted the LA Labor Board and they put me in touch with the Teamsters. The day before we were to have our meeting I was fired. Nobody will tell me why, my guess is for that reason but since I can't get any of my former coworkers to vouch for me I am out here looking for work again. At least in San Diego you have a little solidarity. Good to know.

Intimidation/Harassment/Retaliation are all standard practices for this Agency (ironically founded on the precepts of Humanistic Psychology). I have seen paper trails initiated against co workers/friends in an attempt to silence and terminate them for daring to have a voice in a workplace staffed with lackeys and puppets.
