Et YOO too, Barack!
On Friday, a lawyer from the U.S. Justice Dept. argued against a lawsuit by a tortured American citizen Jose Padilla(originally claimed by the Bush regime as a "dirty bomb" terrorist but since convicted of an unrelated charge)on John Yoo, the current UCBerkely law prof who infamously wrote the torture memos in 2002 to justify U.S. investigators' torture of terrorism suspects.
The Bush regime naturally defended Yoo from the lawsuit(because CONs must protect each other, required under the Mafia honor code.) But now, even under a "changed" Obama administration, it's increasingly clear that the same secrecy, national security rationale, and even protection of America's torturers are par for the course!
Where is the "Change We Can Believe In," Barack? You did say that "No one is above the law," didn't you during the campaign? Or are you re-defining "Change" as the same as "Staying the NeoCON Course"?
