It gets worse! Not only does Hollingsworth want to dismantle the Department of Developmental Disabilities, but the $100 Million cut that needs to be made by Sept. cannot be comprised of generating more federal revenue using Medicaid Waivers. The department should be able to raise about $30 Million that way. The budget calls for cuts, according to them. Absolutely absurd! They then propose a 7% cut in Sept. on Providers, which means half will go out of business! This will make it impossible for our clients to live in the community, and end up back in institutions!
