1FEST will provide young student-leaders from diverse communities an opportunity to stand up together and speak directly to their peers about why marriage equality is an important civil rights issue.
1FEST is not just about marriage equality, but all of our civil rights issues! With Action Booths, all communities and causes will bring their issues to the table and 2000-5000 young people will support one another through powerful, direct actions.
1FEST is a festival event with music-- hip-hop, rock, indie, Afro-funk-- interactive art projects, cultural food, all on a beautiful day at UCLA, where the Prop 8 protests of Los Angeles began.
