Dear ASA Supporter,

In his first 20 days in office, President Obama issued a White House statement
in support of medical cannabis reform. It was the first such statement from a
U.S. President in almost 30 years, but it will not be the last. Now is the time
to join the movement by becoming an ASA Member. And now is the time to be part
of the real change to come by signing up as an ASA Ambassador.

How has ASA grown into the nation’s largest organization of patients,
doctors, researchers, and concerned citizens advocating for access to cannabis
for research and patients? Our members.

As a member-based organization, we rely on YOU, our constituents and members,
to both fund and help shape our projects, to educate communities, to push for
local and state regulations, and to build and expand this national movement in
town halls and in the Halls of Congress. You are the lifeblood of Americans for
Safe Access, and we can only survive if our membership expands. If you’ve
ever thought about becoming a member, now’s the time!

you’ll be a valued member of the ASA community.

But becoming an ASA member isn’t the only way to contribute. We rely even
more on the the willingness of our constituents to take charge of this movement
by taking action. Now is the time to make or renew your commitment to this
effort by becoming an ASA Ambassador.

Much of ASA’s grassroots activity comes from our over 60 chapters and
affiliates across the country. But the ASA Ambassador program allows committed
citizens to tap into our campaigns and projects without having to join or start
an ASA Chapter.
