Set in Pittsburgh in 1936, The Piano Lesson focuses upon the relationship between the Charles siblings, Berniece and Boy Willie, who clash over whether or not their family’s piano should be sold. The Piano Lesson, which premiered in 1987 won Wilson his second Pulitzer Prize and confirmed his status as one of America’s most important and innovative living playwrights. By August Wilson (1945–2005), Directed by Don Williams.
Admission: $14 general a, $11 seniors, $11 students, free for UCSC undergrads w/ ID.
