"We must keep the pressure up on the BART BOARD as they are fracturing and moveable as long as they feel the continued heat.

It's a small room and we need to pack it!

The BART Board of Directors must take action for Justice for Oscar Grant by taking a pledge to do the following:

1) Fire and Prosecute BART Officer Tony Pirone (& all officers present during the execution of Oscar Grant)

2) Fire BART Police Chief Gary Gee for complicity and incompetence

3) Disarm BART Police

(These are demands that this group of people has the power to carry out!)"

The directions should read 344 20th Street, 3rd Floor, not 3rd Street - just to avoid any confusion

They just aren't. Ask all you want, it won't happen. BART has too much crime for anybody to vote for that.

Instead, demand something that can actually be done: Demand that BART police become part of the State Police. Then, if they fuck up again, there will be powerful people with their asses on the line. Powerful people like the Chief of State Police and the Governor. If their asses are on the line, you better believe bad shit will be dealt with quicker.

Nobody knows who the BART Board is, and everybody votes for them based on endorsements and voter guides only. Ever been to a BART Board debate? Put BART police in the hands of the governor, ANY governor, and you can expect a great big investigation and heads rolling if they fuck up again because a governor needs Bay Area votes and support from Bay Area assemblymen.

Putting BART Police under control of state police isn't going to stop police abuse. It will only make their brotherhood stronger. The courts aren't going to convict police who abuse their power. No government agency or government group is going to stop police violence. We've already tried this and the system has failed us. REMEMBER! And when the system has ABANDON us what is the only thing left to do? THINK, PLAN, AND EXECUTE! The only power left to stop police violence is the people them selves, PEOPLE POWER; THAT MEANS THE PEOPLE VS. THE STATE! ONCE THE GOVERNMENT BECOMES THE PROBLEM, THE PROBLEM CANNOT BE SOLVED. WHY COUNT ON THE GOVERNMENT TO HELP WHEN THEY ARE THE ENEMY, THINK!

We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
