The Separation Wall
Palestine/Israel
Shachaf Polakow
Prominent Israeli activist gives eyewitness accounts of nonviolent actions in Israel and Palestine to protest construction of the separation wall
Born in Beersheba, Israel, in 1979, Scachaf Polakow is active in several political groups for justice for the Palestinians. He is part of a street medic group that helps participants who are injured in demonstrations. He is a member of Activestills, which documents political activism and social struggles through photographs that can raise social awareness and promote social change. As a member of international award-winning Anarchists Against The Wall, he has been working with the popular movement in the West Bank against the occupation and the construction of the separation wall.
Scachaf will speak and present films on the nonviolent struggle against the separation wall that Israel is building on Palestinian land.
