Do You Know Where Your Flowers Come from? - at the Commonwealth Club
Come smell the (sustainably grown) roses at The Commonwealth CLub, and learn all about the hidden side of horticulture w/ Annie Gardiner and Terry BettsYoung, Scientific Certification Systems. We've almost all become more aware of the effects of our buying decisions. For example, trying to eat locally and organically. But have you begun to think about the flowers you buy? Join us for a timely discussion on VeriFlora and its efforts to standardize the flower market around sustainability practices that protect the environment and support fair labor. The first 50 attendees will receive VeriFlora certified sustainably grown roses! Program Organizer: Marcia Sitcoske.
Cost: $8 members, $15 non-members
