Privacy Violation ALERT!

ALERT! Our Library has been taken over by Control Freaks!

You are now REQUIRED to "log-in/log-off" in order to use the Internet.

Voice your opposition to this new draconian policy NOW!

This is COMPLETE Violation of your 4th Amendment Right to PRIVACY and is Against the Law!

Mandatory log-in records your name, student ID and web site viewing history for anybody to see. This is an attempt to install an electronic POLICE STATE Spy and Surveillance grid into OUR College Library!

Big Brother wants to monitor, control and restrict our use of the Internet!

We MUST say NO to this corporate fascism, the Internet MUST remain FREE!

You have the RIGHT NOT to be tracked and monitored like an animal!

You should NOT have to provide ID or request authorization of any sort in order to use the Interent.

Stand Up and say NO to mandatory 'log-in' and lets return the Internet back to the students. This is OUR college and OUR Library!

***Contact Cabrillo College Library Director at: to voice your outrage! Contact the Vice president and President of Cabrillo to have them re-instate OUR Internet at the LIBRARY WITHOUT mandatory Log-in procedures: AND ***

The reason they have people log in is so that non-students don't use Cabrillo's network. They are for students. There is free internet for the community at the many public library locations. Cabrillo in order to keep many programs running due to state wide cut's has had to be more strict. It is not about tracking your moves. If your trying to do something you don't want noticed then Cabrillo's student network is probably not the best choice anyway. Meanwhile I hope you enjoy the world class education from one of the highest rated Jr. Colleges in the country. You should look in to other schools and there policies before you shout from your soap box.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
