EFF and ACLU Sue Police Over Infoshop Raid
EFF and ACLU sue the police over an August Raid Of The Long Haul Infoshop
On August 27, 2008 , The Long Haul Infoshop in south berkeley was raided by three agencies including the Uc Berkeley Police and the FBI to find who had been sending threatening emails to UC Berkeley Animal Researchers. In the raid, computers of a Newspaper, Slingshot and a prisoner support project were taken. As a result of the over broad raid, The EFF and the ACLU are now suing the departments and the officers involved. This raid marks the first time an Infoshop has been raided by police.

the catalyst infoshop in arizona was also raided during operation blackfire when they arrested bill rogers.
I forgot about catalyst, but the long haul raid was the first one done without "proof" of a crime
