We had at least 10,000 people marching in San Francisco. Please do not minimize our efforts as they are outstanding in the face of a bloodthirsty pro-US/Israel genocide capitalist press and bloodthirsty US Congress, representing a government founded on Indian killing for the US settler colony, and for the past 61 years, has proudly been doing Arab killing for the US/Israeli settler colony, to the tune of $15 million a year from the American taxpayers as there is nothing more profitable than war and the primary goal and law of capitalism is maximization of profit.

As to the false statement that women in Muslim culture do not wear the scraf that is lately popular at our pro-Palestine demonstrations and that they must be covered from head to toe, ad nauseum, many Muslim women dress as we do. You should view the music & politics DVD, "Knowledge is the Beginning-The Ramallah Concert," the outstanding effort by Daniel Barenboim and the late Edward Said to teach peace with a youth orchestra of Arabs, Jews and a few Europeans, the West Eastern Divan Orchestra (Warner Classics DVD). All of the Arab women, both Muslim and Christian, dress in standard "Western" clothing, or lack thereof, including bare back, spaghetti strap dresses for concert performances, etc. Most of the Arab women in the concert audience, most likely mostly Muslim, dressed in "Western" clothing, with no head scraf of any kind at all. To the extent that there is a problem with the Muslim superstition and women's clothing, they are not alone. Orthodox Jews in Israel have brutally beaten women who wear short sleeve blouses. All superstitions/religions are anti-women, including Christianity. Whatever superstition some people may believe in, genocide is never acceptable or legal. The US and Israel are guilty of genocide of the Palestinian people.
