January 12, 2009 - In San Francisco tonight, 150 people protested the police murder of Oscar Grant.

In San Francisco tonight, 150 people protested the police murder of Oscar Grant. The protesters marched from UN Plaza to the Powell BART station and around downtown San Francisco chanting "No justice, no peace, fuck the police!" Protesters wore t-shirts stating "I am, I am, I am Oscar Grant" and "Don't Shoot." As the march took to the downtown streets, police quickly moved in brandishing "less-than-lethal" weapons and forcing protesters back onto the sidewalk.
Also today, BART police announced the completion of their investigation into Grant's killing. Johannes Mehserle, Grant's killer, remains free.
