Bank of the West Attacked in Solidarity with Oakland Riots
Solidarity attack with Oakland riots.
Last week, after Oakland was rioting and the pigs were combing the streets looking for anyone to harass and arrest, we struck at the Bank of the West on Telegraph Ave. in Berkeley.
The pigs were no where in sight as our bricks crashed through the glass windows guarding the bank.
We attacked this symbol of capital in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in Oakland who rioted after the murder of Oscar Grant. Our struggles must be our own. We might fight not only the police but also those who would turn our power that we have created on the streets into their political machines. Solidarity means attack.

This is 1,000,000,000,000 times better than the N. Berkeley BART Station or the meter maid office/lot in S. Berkeley.
While someone a long time ago said that the state is the executive committee of the bourgeoisie, the ruling class is different. Banks are more exemplary of the ruling class. Public transit is not.
In the case of the meter maids, better cripple all those fucking annoying carts than merely break the windows. Symbolism in that case is meaningless. Same with public transit. Go for the BART bureaucrats offices and the BART police, not the stations that working class people work in and use.
But like the Greek uprising, start envisioning mass actions that truly confront ruling class power, while being aware that the state are their henchmen and will brutally defend their interests. Occupations and expropriations push us further down the part of revolution. Let's start organizing towards that.
