La Commune - a.k.a. The Paris Commune 1871
Fridays January 23, 30, & Feb 6 8-9:30pm @ SubRosa Infoshop 703 Pacific Ave (downtown SC) In March of 1871, in the wake of a collapsing government, the people of Paris established a commune based on the ideals of equality, freedom, & democracy. The "Paris Commune" as it came to be known, became a watershed moment in radical history, inspiring countless acts of solidarity throughout the world and leaving epic stories for generations to tell. Join the Santa Cruz Guerilla Drive In and SubRosa Infoshop Friday January 23rd, 30th and February 6th for a special 3-part screening of a docudrama filmed in 2000 that depicts "La Commune" through the eyes of ordinary people. Brought to you by Guerilla Drive In & SubRosa Infoshop |
