The Teachers Federation of Puerto Rico (FMPR) is one of the most militant and active groups of teachers in the world. It is democratically run and represents the 40,000 teachers of Puerto Rico.
Pedro Angel Rivera, a labor filmmaker in Puerto Rico, will speak about the struggle of the union to maintain its independence and its right to strike. He will screen a short video on the recent teachers' struggle.
