Consent & Sexual/Intimate Violence: History & Current Reality of Sexual Violence, and Its Connection to all forms of Oppression (Part I)

Location: Resource Center for Nonviolence - 515 Broadway, Santa Cruz
In this workshop we'll define the many forms of Sexual Violence and the shapes it takes including the pervasiveness of patriarchy. We'll discuss the global framework and history and dispel myths surrounding Sexual Violence. We'll also discuss the interconnectedness of all forms of oppression (inclusive of racism, classism, homophobia, trans-phobia, etc.) and their larger connection to Sexual Violence. We'll deconstruct the gender binary system and it's contribution to Sexual Violence.
*Please Note: You don't have to attend all workshops to attend one.
Requirements: Please try to be on time.
