Larry Cox, head of Amnesty International, silent as guard assaults activist.

by Ken So Wala
Larry Cox, head of Amnesty International, stood silent as a guard violently assaulted a human rights activist who asked him a question at a public gathering at the Ethical Culture Society.

The four minute Youtube video was posted at:

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qHqDjL8gR18

The activist was there to draw attention to AI's support of the Merida Initiative, aka, Plan Mexico, a military aid package that arms the Mexican army and police who are involved in the murder and arrest of activists in Oaxaca and Chiapas and the massacres in Atenco.

That is crazy, but indicative of the times. Dems and their enablers have bamboozeld the entire population. look at that zombie crowd. At an AI event, they watch the man get thrown out, for speaking up? Whether you agree or not, and I see no reason to disagree, people should have stood up and defended him. I remember AI's role in the first Iraq war... I will work to Stop Plan Mexico. Larry Cox is worse than John Kerry.

"We support freedom of speech."???? That is what GW said when code pink was thrown out of his speeches....

The guy asks him to answer this question about Plan Mexico - which must have been pretty important to him since he took the trouble to ask - and Cox doesn't even take a moment to answer. The guys asks Amnesty International to oppose Plan Mexico. He explains other organizations which have taken clear positions against it. Apparently Amnesty has not done so. . .on a military consignment from the U.S.G. to the fanatically right-wing stealer of Mexican Democracy pResident Calderon!?

Cox could have said, "I understand your question; I'll answer for all to hear after the panel discussion". But instead he JOKES about human rights, saying "we believe all in freedom of speech." I think at the end the young man gets hit, too. You can hear something and the audience looks over!

Disgrateful.
