Come one, come all! We WILL feed your heart and tickle your stomach at the October 25 City Slicker Urban Farm Fall Harvest Festival with some good ol' fashioned political street theater.
A food justice celebration! A giant puppet show! Butterflies and an epic battle! A story to feed your heart! And so on and so forth! You may even get a prize.
Folks of all ages, youngins' to eleventy-five, are invited to partake as you like- as enthralled spectators or enthusiastic cast members. Kids are most certainly welcome. No experience necessary! To perform with us, come decorate your costume if you like between 1-2 pm (we will have plenty made in advance so you can just show up too for a quick rehearsal from 2 to 3 pm).
OR just stroll on by at 4:30 pm to be ooh'd and awed.
Just show up at City Slickers W.O.W. garden at 7th and Peralta in Oakland on Saturday, October25 to see us perform! You can't miss us.

See you there!
Hungry Theater is a brand-new SF Bay Area political street theater company. With sober senses, we the hungry face the concrete conditions of life and as a result acknowledge that it is our destiny to starve the machine. We don't want our money back. We want our souls, our lives, our deaths. We want the Earth! Our stomachs churn and growl, teaching us uprising dances and insurrection songs. Our mouths tear themselves open, we bare our teeth. We waltz with the dead and grind their bones to make our bread. Our subversive eyes ask the darkness: if this is the best of all worlds, where are the others? Our mission is two-fold: 1) to destroy the illusion of separation; 2) to
recreate ourselves and our society at the same time.
To accomplish these ends, we invite you to partake in a feast fit to nourish both the living and the dead, consisting of garbage, cardboard, noise, fire, concrete and its opposite. We often meet at the Rock Paper Scissors Collective on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. To be sure, contact us at hungrytheater [at] yahoogroups.com or call 224.406.6671.
We say, "Let them eat Hungry Theater!" We want to feed you to remind you that you are hungry. For Hunger Is Power!
