With Special Guest Moderator
Cheryl Jennings ABC 7 News
Featuring Panelists
Officers James Bellamy & Christopher Sweeney San Rafael Police Dept.
Comm. Georey Carter Commissioner, Alameda County Courts
Dave Brown Attorney, Author “Fight Your Ticket in California”
Officer Mary Ziegenbein California Highway Patrol
The Traffic Court Forum will be comprised of a brief overview and introductory comments from our moderator, 5-minute statements by the forum panelists and a Question & Answer session. We anticipate that the panelists’ statements and open Q&A will cover issues regarding traffic stops, traffic court, and existing resources that help ensure our community’s safety and equitable treatment both on the roads and within the legal system.
Organized by the Center for Judicial Excellence & the Action Coalition for People of Color, the Traffic Court Forum is co-sponsored by a growing list of local agencies and groups including:
Social Justice Center of Marin, Canal Alliance, Marin Gray Panthers, Canal Welcome Center, the Marin County Youth Commission, Marin Immigrants Rights Coalition, Grassroots Leadership Network, Task Force on the Americas, Fair Housing of Marin, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Vernon Crowley (Manager, Marin City Community Services District), ISOJI, Women Helping All People and Marin Peace & Justice Coalition
