Kathy Kelly is an internationally renowned peace activist, three time nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize, co-founder of Voices for Creative Non-violence, (formerly Voices in the Wilderness), who defied US/UN sanctions to deliver humanitarian supplies to Iraqis after the 2nd Gulf War.

One in five Iraqis have been displaced by the war and occupation. Two million have left Iraq, 500,000 of whom are in Jordan. Kathy Kelly will report on her recent work there, where for five months she lived among and worked with Iraqi refugees. She will discuss how the Iraqis are coping with adversity, and the need to support Iraqi groups that use non-violent methods to promote reconciliation and a peaceful and productive future.

David Smith-Ferri, activist poet, author of "Battlefields without Borders", will open with a reading of his new poems.
