THE CRASH OF 2008
Causes, Effects, Solutions
Capitalism is in its biggest crisis since the Great Depression of the 1930s. While unwilling to provide the slightest of relief to workers affected by the crisis, the capitalist state is scrambling to rescue the giant financial institutions. Using taxpayer money, the Bush administration has bailed out Bear Sterns, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and A.I.G, and more are likely to come. What is the real cause of the crisis? How will it affect working people? What needs to be done in the short- and long-term? Join us for a discussion of these critical issues.
