Protestors Target Karl Rove, White House Dirty Trickster, in Sacramento Friday

Former Presidential advisor Karl Rove – the Bush dirty trickster and war criminal – will be the target of demonstrations Friday, September 19, from 9 a.m. through 12 Noon as demonstrators from as far away as San Francisco gather at the Sacramento Convention Center (13th& J Streets) for the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce's annual "Perspectives" event.

There will be a "welcome" protest as Rove enters the Convention Center at 9 a.m. and an even larger, full-blown rally at 12 Noon Friday as picketers from the Bay Area are due to arrive. Everybody outraged by the crimes of Rove and the Bush administration is encouraged to attend.

Rove, who is in Sacramento to collect $40,000 for speaking, was nearly arrested by demonstrators when he traveled to University of Iowa in March for his many crimes while a member of the Bush Administration.

Protesters say they are picketing Rove because he, among other deeds, "was involved outing a CIA agent, convincing the news media and public that Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11, thousands of disappeared White House emails and voter suppression and voter fraud in recent elections."

Rove, by convincing the news media and public that Saddam Hussein was involved with 911, is personally responsible for engineering the illegal invasion of Iraq. The blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent people murdered by the Bush adminstration is on his hands - and he should be tried by an international criminal court for his role in war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Rove also engineered the change in water policy on the Klamath River that resulted in the fish kills of 2002 in order to get Gordon Smith, a Republican Senator, elected. Over 68,000 adult salmon died in September 2002 and hundreds of thousands of
juvenile salmon died that spring, spurred by outbreaks of disease in low, warm water conditions. Since that time, the majority of juvenile salmon have perished in the river because of disease outbreaks every spring and summer before the fish are able it out to the ocean.

For his crimes against humanity, the environment and the U.S. Constitution, Karl Rove should be in jail, not invited to speak at the Sacramento Convention Center. The Chamber of Commerce describes its annual "Perspectives" event "as a day of stimulating dialogue and provocative banter."

However, inviting Karl Rove to speak at this event would be like inviting Pol Pot, Hitler or Efrain Rios Montt, the engineer of the Mayan genocide in Guatemala during the 1980s, to the convention center!

"The door opens at 8:30 AM and the event starts at 10:00 AM," according to an action alert from Sacramento for Democracy. "Let's greet the attendees as they go in with lots of colorful signs describing how we feel about 'Bush's Brain.' Since Rove ignores Congress' requests, maybe we can come up with a little surprise for him."

"Robert F. Kennedy, Jr will be there to talk about environmental issues, so you can bring a pro RFK, Jr sign if you have one. Deepak Chopra will be there, as well as the hilarious comedian Frank Caliendo," the action alert added.
