To all supporters of immigrants' rights:

Undocumented immigrant workers have come under attack from all sides, with an alarming increase in raids and deportations. As we have seen in the last few months, ICE and the DHS are carrying out their own campaign on the issue of mass deportations and pushing for a guest worker program (ENDGAME). In the U.S., the goal of this persecution is to ensure that new comers to this country do not have basic rights, decent wages, working or living conditions, such as access to education, health care, and basic social services. It is time that our communities and our allies speak out loudly and clearly, and voice our demands during this electoral cycle.

Organizations from 11 different states around the country have made a call to coordinate a National Day of Action on October 11th or 12th. We choose October 12th for its significance in the history of this continent.

We consider that San Francisco and the greater Bay Area should take up this nation-wide call and organize an action in protest against these attacks on the rights of immigrant workers and their families - attacks that affect all of us, no matter where we were born. We invite all organizations and individuals that support the struggle of immigrant workers to join us in planning for an event on October 11th or 12th.

A meeting will take place on:

Monday, September 22nd, 6:30 p.m.
Mission Presbyterian Church, 3261 23rd Street (2 blocks from 24th and mission Bart)

Come and join us in this struggle! An injury to one is an injury to all!
¡Ya basta!
Stop the raids!
Stop the deportations!
