Bay Area Radical Women Meeting
Thursday, September 11, 7:00 pm at Valencia Hall
Celebrate Latina/o Heritage month
Estamos en la lucha: Immigrant women
light the fires of resistance
Add your comments on a newly published analysis of women in the multi-ethnic immigrant rights movement which discusses how current government policies harm women and children and describes the galvanizing leadership of women in immigrant rights and labor struggles. The paper illustrates the crucial impact of grassroots women in organizing against ICE raids, detention, deportations, and the far-right Minutemen. Everyone is invited to this Bay Area meeting, and later to Radical Women's national October conference at the Women's Building where the author, Christina López, Seattle Radical Women organizer and Chicana human rights defender, will present the paper as a resolution.
Come early for a delicious autumn buffet with vegetarian option, at 6:15pm for a $7.00 donation at New Valencia Hall (see address below).
Every Saturday in September, 11am-1pm at Valencia Hall
Help organize for Radical Women’s 41st Anniversary Conference!
Be part of the Bay Area team that is building for the national Radical Women conference October 3-6. Share your thoughts, ideas, and talents while helping with outreach, research, calling, mailing, making displays and other tasks in a fun, productive and relaxed setting. At Valencia Hall (see address below).
