After the appealt court removed the injuction UCB moves on the trees.
Early Friday morning UC Berkeley moved in massive amounts of equiptment and arborist and began butchering the trees at memorial oak grove. They have cut more branches off the redwood tree where 4 treesitters remain. Throughout the day they have cut more branches from the surrounding oak trees. They are making sure the treesitters cannot move around and protect the rest of the grove.
They continue to cut branchs.
We cannot wait for the entire grove to be clear cut.
Action must be taken.
We call on all community members to be present at the grove.

The horror of what we are witnessing every single day in this rotten, backward country should be enough to cause outrage and labor strikes across the country. Can you imagine cutting down a beautiful grove of trees which also hold a hillside in place, for a palm-greasing stadium swindle which the rich folks' academic finishing school does not need at all? Then we also hear of the torture and frame-ups of people protesting the Republican drinking party today on Flashpoints, 9/5/08 at

KPFA did its part to promote fascism with the vicious police brutality against a long time volunteer programmer, Nadra Foster, on August 20, 2008, a prelude to its theft of our subscription dollars for promoting the Democrat and Republican drinking parties, cancelling the programs for which we pay in KPFA's corporatization scheme.
Boeing workers are scheduled to strike tonight. Do you think the American workingclass will finally get off the dime and fight back? The economic crisis is predicted to be much worse at the end of this year and the beginning of next. What are Americans waiting for? Fascism is here. Poverty is rampant. The schools are rotten. The health care system is non-existent for too many and inadequate for most. The public transportation system is miniscule. There is absolutely no future in this private profit society. No millionaire can possibly represent us. Only presidential candidates Cynthia McKinney, Ralph Nader and Gloria LaRiva have anything to offer the workingclass.

And in the past, at a business that he owned, he fought against workers' attempts to unionize. He'll ever get my vote.
