September 11, 2008 – A Global Truth Movement Rises Up

While the recent NIST (National Institute for Standards and Technology) report claimed “mystery solved” that WTC 7, a 47-story steel structure, fell due to normal office fires--the first time in history that a modern steel-framed high rise building collapsed for this reason--a global 9/11 truth movement is challenging NIST’s reasoning, examination of the evidence and political agenda. In Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States rallies, marches, talks, concerts, film festivals, and vigils are being planned. Richard Gage, AIA, founder of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth­ a well known critic of the latest NIST report--will speak at the 7th annual 9/11 Truth Rally and March on September 6th in San Francisco. Gage will also speak at the 4th annual 9/11 Film Festival, held at the Grand Lake Theater in Oakland on September 11th, and in New York City the following day.

At the 9/11 Film Festival, the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance will present a variety of films and speakers. The highlight of this year's films is the Italian documentary "Zero: An Investigation into 9/11," which was shown in the EU parliament in February of this year.

People will be converging on New York for the Now or Never 2008 Fundraiser for First Responders, street actions, vigil, conference, concert, film screenings… Nearly 30,000 signatures have also been gathered for the NYC 9/11 Ballot Initiative to create a genuinely independent Commission with subpoena power to investigate 9/11. Additional events, film screenings, talks will be held in Washington, DC, Massachusetts, in cities and states across the country, including Arizona where State Senator Karen Johnson and former governor Jesse Ventura will echo the need for a real investigation.

In Brussels, on September 7th, hundreds of people from over a dozen countries are expected to converge for a “United for Truth” peaceful protest to show solidarity with Americans for an independent investigation of 9/11, and opposition to the wars, and the curtailment of civil rights which has taken place throughout the world.

In London, there will be a 24 hour 7 days and 7 nights peaceful protest/vigil outside of the American Embassy, demanding a real investigation of 9/11, and educating the public. As part of the Portobello Film Festival, two 9/11 films will also be shown- “The Elephant in the Room” and “Last Man Out.”

In Sydney, on September 11th there will be a large public meeting with speakers, followed on September 12th by the premiere of “Shadowplay,” an Australian 9/11 Truth documentary , followed on the 13th by a dinner and musical fund raiser for Truth Action Australia.

In Canada, a 9/11 Truth Tour was launched in August, which will culminate in a March on Ottawa. Canadians petitioned their government on June 10th 2008:

We, the undersigned citizens of Canada draw the attention of the House to the following:

THAT, scientific and eyewitness evidence shows that the 9/11 Commission Report is a fraudulent document and that those behind the report are consciously or unconsciously guilty of covering up what happened on 9/11/2001. This evidence overwhelmingly supports the conclusion that World Trade Center Towers 1, 2 and 7 were brought down by demolition explosives and that the official theory of the towers collapsing from the airplanes and the ensuing fires is irrefutably false.

We further believe that elements within the US government were complicit in the murder of thousands of people on 9/11/2001. This event brought Canada into the so-called "War on Terror," it changed our domestic and foreign policies for the worse, and it will continue to have negative consequences for us all if we refuse to look at the facts.

THEREFORE, your petitioners call upon Parliament to:

(1) Immediately launch its own investigation into the events of 9/11/2001 on behalf of the 24 Canadian citizens murdered in New York City.

(2) Act lawfully on the findings of its own investigation by helping to pursue the guilty parties in the international courts.

The marchers expect to arrive at Parliament Hill on September 11th and to get a response from elected officials. They are prepared to stay in Ottawa until they get a satisfactory response from their public servants.
