Long celebrated by dirt-loving heathens everywhere, the Autumn Equinox (Mabon) is one of only two times during the year when the day and night are equal in length, ushering in a new season. Join your fellow velo-rutionaries as we ride into the sunset and bid farewell to the last days of Summer, then welcome the Fall darkness and all its glory.
Along the way, we'll stop to gather fallen leaves and other nature finds to construct an altar to Autumn. This will be the last mystery ride of the summer, and like all mystery rides, our destination(s) are a mystery! DO: Decorate yourself and bike in Fall colors (Orange, yellow, red, brown). Bring: Fall altar items (corn husks, leaves, herbs, stones, feathers, mementos, etc), cider, wine, reflectors, a friend. Meet @ Pacific/Cooper (across from Cinema 9) 5:30pm, Ride @ 6pm Fliers coming soon! |
