After two decades of documentation and reporting from impoverished communities abroad and immigrant workplaces and neighborhoods in the United States, award-winning photojournalist, David Bacon’s new book, Illegal People, examines the ways globalization uproots people in Latin America and Asia, driving them to migrate while battling policy that makes the labor of those displaced people a crime in the US.
