Orwellian "Researcher Protection Act of 2008" passes CA state Senate

by Stop Cal Vivisection
The University of California via their bought-off politicians, push the Orwellian "Researcher Protection Act of 2008" through the state Senate.
The bill, known as the Researcher Protection Act of 2008, would make it a misdemeanor to publish personal information such as photographs, home addresses or the names of family members of academic researchers if the intent is for readers to use the information to threaten or attack those researchers.

Additionally, the bill would make it a misdemeanor for protesters to enter onto the property of researchers in order to interfere with academic practices.

In UC Berkeley, there have been more than 20 reports of vandalism at researchers' homes, including broken windows, overturned trash cans and vandalized cars.

The information about the animal abusers at UC Berkeley that will soon be made illegal can be found here:

Oh yeah, and we love when the Sacramento Regional Office Of Homeland Security visits our site (as they did twice today.)
by this stuff
cd's and disks, 14 computers, 2 hard drives. They broke a lock to open up offices (East Bay Prisoners Report, needle exchange, Cycles of Change, Slingshot) and used a crowbar to pry open the door. They came with guns drawn. They said they were FBI (1 person), sherriff's office and some UC Berkeley cops.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
