In the video Laure McElroy reads from Article 28, section 1, of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples:
Indigenous peoples have the right to redress, by means that can include restitution or, when this is not possible, just, fair and equitable compensation, for the lands, territories and resources which they have traditionally owned or otherwise occupied or used, and which have been confiscated, taken, occupied, used or damaged without their free, prior and informed consent.
--Adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on September 13, 2007.

Where were the Indigenous Peoples of this land during this supposed "Take Back the Land" event? Were they even invited? Why weren't any in attendance? Because you have no respect for them or for this land!
Don't call yourself INDIGENOUS PEOPLES MEDIA PROJECT as you have no Indigenous representation!
Don't pretend that you represent us or speak on our behalf.
You want real solidarity? Invite us to your events or ask to help plan them together. This event was a disgrace and a joke such as poor mag. is perpetrating and recreating the power structure that you claim to fight against!
