Join us for an afternoon adventure through the magical redwood forest and chaparral north of UCSC, where the University proposes a major new road and 120 acres of deforestation and new buildings. We'll share stories and explore secret spots, talk about the natural history of the area, identify native flora and fauna, and gain a deeper understanding of the impacts of development on this ecosystem.
Bring food and water to share and a desire to learn about this area.
Directions: from the base of UCSC, get on a free shuttle. Get off at the Kresge bus stop.
