Hunters View in San Francisco prone to "thug developers" who prey on innocent BVHP tenants
Hunters View Public Housing is well known in San Francisco for its paramount views. More in the Bayview Hunters Point area and among all the constituents - as Public Housing. Now, under HOPE SF a dubious project that seeks to demolish and build newer homes and units - to foster greed and more gentrification. The Public Process is flawed with the City and County of San Francisco officials - encouraging corruption and less due - process.
It has never been easy for those that live in Public Housing for many years. Constantly, targeted by dubious entities - the Public Housing tenants at Hunters View are now being targeted by City and County officials and City Departments - with a fervor - for drastic and quick - eviction.
Armed "thugs" are planting drugs on innocent youth and sending them to jail - quicker then the blink of an eye. Then, just like that the Housing Authority and other entities - zero in on the Mothers and Elders - and evict them.
Hundreds of van promises and made and none kept. BS abounds and more by sell outs - all being paid to sell out the community. Most of them paid by Communities of Opportunity and one Dwayne Jones. Be warned and forever hold your - peace.
I know my hommies and will defend their rights - fully within the confines of the Law and Fair Housing Practices.
The Hunters View area has about 267 units with lots of Open Space - now. The area has contributed to this Nation in talent. Some of the best music talent has some out from this unique area. The "developer thugs " could care less - focused on - gentrification.
Over the years - the City and County has neglected this area. On purpose the SF Housing Authority and especially the Housing Authority Commission - has allowed blight and the Public Housing in this area - to be run down.
Now, " developer thugs " are fast tracking the process at the Land Use Committee and at the SF Board of Supervisors.
The vermin and leading the charge Aaron Peskin and Sophina Maxwell - pretending to ask the right questions - but having meetings behind close door - and pocketing favors and money - galore. Time will tell.
The area - Bayview Hunters Point is slated for total demolition. Where now stand about 267 units - a full ninety percent boarded up - the dubious, evil plan calls for over 667 smaller units.
A Gated Community is planned - complete with "armed security" and protection for a community that will not resemble the present community and for sure - the real culture that now - keeps - most everything - real.
The "developer thugs" plan - attacking the area - in Phases. But, they really do not know what is awaiting them. Waiting for Godot!
Recently, the youth in the area - have been rounded up - just for hanging around in their neighborhood.
Thugs in uniform plant "drugs" on the youth - rough the youth up - and send them in droves to jail. This is not the first time - such incidents and happenings have taken place - all over the Bayview Hunters Point.
In the past Injunctions have been declared for no reason - complete with the blessing of the City Attorney - Dennis Herrera. The only one look for the youth today in San Francisco and speaking up - Jeff Adachi.
The Mothers in the area around Hunters Views are not informed and drab meetings are held to confuse the constituents.
Complicated Land Use regulations, the Environmental Impact Report, and other Fair Housing Rules and Regulations - are quoted out of context - and always stated in a manner to deceive and hood wink the constituents that live in Public Housing - at Hunters View by Middle Point.
The community most affected are the Samoans. The Samoans know that something is happening - but have no clue that soon - most of them - will be history. They will be evicted and sent packing to oblivion.
There is absolutely no representation of Samoans - at any level - less the Housing Authority Commission or the Mayor Office of Housing.
Rogue Developers are fast tracking the process - more to meet deadlines at the State Level - where these "rogue developers" are priming themselves - to request for State Grants - in the millions.
Much like Lennar was recently denied over $25 million in State Grants - every measure must be taken to scrutinize these "thug developers" of Geneva Tower - fame. Our tax payers money - should not be given - easily to "rogue developers" - never.
Once many poor people lived at the Geneva Towers but less then five percent came back to live in the area - after the Geneva Towers - were imploded.
Much the same is happening at Hunters View - Whites Folks - are coming in with force and sending most people of color - packing. Taking over the land and the homes that once were the abode of 'Public Housing Resident protected by Federal Fair Housing Law and Regulations".
The only Tenants' Association is deceived all the time and treated like - trash.
Communities of Opportunity (COO) has been cooing a lot - and with Dwayne Jones as its leader - all the community can expect - is very serious trouble. A fox in the hen's house.
Of course Mayor Gavin Newsom could not care less - about poor people in the Hunters View area:

San Francisco is a Racist City - and it a shame that the youth at Hunters View are treated like trash and set upon - by some entities that should protect Society but are now - with intent adversely impacting Health and Safety in the Bayview Hunters Point - and more Hunters View.
Yesterday, August 5, 2008 at th SF Board of Supervisors - the "developer thugs " were given a nod - to go ahead - with their EVIL plan.
However at Hunters View, California - we can decipher and move in some areas - far superior to - gentrification, ploys. You can plant all the moles you want - the few and the brave - can address the situation at hand - with fortitude.
Please do not treat our youth with disdain - especially when throughout your history - killing and stealing has been your norm in life. Greed and materialism your - religion.
The land belong the First People - the Muwekma Ohone - but more to the present youth of Hunters View. You, youth - must stand up and take the tiger by the tail - and do what it takes to contain these "rogue developers" and the other "rogues" running in fatigues.
There is no more pain then being told that you have no home - and that you will be homeless.
Katrina is upon us - if we the people - who live in the area of Hunters View do not address our concerns first - and that of the "thugs" as and when we deem - fit. Remember, citizens of Hunters View - the rights are there for you - to set your destiny. There is a small window of opportunity - it is left to you - to reclaim the land and stand your ground.
You have the Rights of First Refusal. Hommies time to get together and bring about a better change.

Hunter View is being torn down and replaced by mixed housing. Only one-third will be "very low income". Another third will be reserved for working people. No more 95% unemployed.
Those tenants in good standing are receiving Sect 8 vouchers and will be invited to return, if they care to bother, when the place is rebuilt. By then, most will have settled elsewhere and won't bother to return. That's what happened at the other Hope I project rebuilds.
Those tenants not in good standing will be evicted, receive nothing, and will not be allowed to return. This is what happens when you don't pay rent for 6 months, as some 40 tenants have done.
The days of the old projects are over. Good riddance. The days of the Bayview being a backwater, run by thugs and drug dealers terrorizing people in their homes and on the streets are OVER. Change is coming. New people, new businesses, new housing, and a new way of life are on the way.
Once a critical mass of new people is reached, the neighborhood will be transformed with orderly streets, night life, and much, much lower crime.
