Overpasses in the Peninsula and South Bay
Part of the Iraq Moratorium campaign, a monthly series of actions demanding an end to the war. On the third Friday of each month, we are taking the time to show our President and Congress that our troops must be brought home, now!
This month, we'll be taking to the streets...well, the highways anyway. We'll be holding banners and signs on overpasses during commute times demanding an end to the Iraq war. Come help create a human billboard at a confirmed location&time or initiate one at a location&time of your own.*
Confirmed locations/times:
San Mateo: Monte Diablo pedestrian crossing overpass on 101, hopefully over both north- and southbound lanes. 5:00 p.m. til our arms get tired. Contact San Mateo Peace Action (Mike Caggiano): 650-342-8244 or smpa [at] sanmateopeaceaction.org.
Palo Alto: Embarcadero Road on the Highway 101 overpass, north/west side (the side with the sidewalk). 4:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Contact Peninsula Peace and Justice Center: 650-326-8837 or ppjc [at] peaceandjustice.org.
