American Flag Concecration a Success!!

The 4th Annual Old Time American Flag Burn was a respectful ceremony
attended by 15 participants and one metro santa cruz reporter. All enjoyed
the celebration and seemed to understand the nuanced approach we were taking.
We intended to create a safe space for the community to gather and exercise
their freedom of speech by ritually burning a flag.
Sometimes one needs to exercise a freedom to feel one actually has it.
There were no protests or argumentative energies although we would've welcomed
them had they joined us. That is what freedom of speech is all about.

about Flag Consecration because we believe this will be a new tradition.
Burning a flag in honor of our freedoms helps us feel that this country is what it says it is.
What makes you feel like this country is what it says it is?

We welcome debate about this issue because we know it is contentious.
