Novato Fourth of July Parade.
PeaceNovato Peace Crane Contingent
Join MPJC in marching with PeaceNovato's Peace Crane contingent.
The theme for this year's Novato Parade is the “Best of Novato”. We want the PeaceNovato contingent to have the biggest, most successful turnout ever.
PeaceNovato has Peace Cranes folded with names Americans that died in Iraq (over 4,113 and counting); all we need is you to help us carry them in the parade. Its going to take 30-40 marchers to carry all of our cranes, banner and Peace flags – Bush wins if we have to leave out some PeaceCranes behind if we don't have enough people to help carry all of the poles. We will also have the 10 foot tall Gandhi puppet float from MPJC with us this year. If you haven't marched (well, actually, it is more like walking) in the July 4 Parade with us before please give it a try. Invite your friends and family too. No one is too young or old to support Peace. It is fun, and the more people we muster the louder our message is heard.
This year's parade is also being filmed by the History Channel. This gives us the opportunity to show not only Novato but the whole country that we want Peace and for the War to end! Let's show everybody that PeaceNovato can be the Best of Novato this year.
PeaceNovato is Parade Entry Number 126. We will be staging on Reichert Avenue between Dr. Insomnia's and the Novato Builders Supply lumber yard. Look for our red, white and blue PeaceCranes. Please give Don a call at 897-0516.
