DVC police office destroyed by arson

by crap
3 separate incendiary devices ignited overnight to completely destroy the offices of the Diablo Valley College police.
In a bold move against the growing police state, anonymous individuals in Pleasant Hill, California, have set fire to the offices of the Diablo Valley College police department.
The fire was first reported at 2:25 am. Four engines, one truck and about 20 firefighters later and the blaze was finally put out, but not after completely destroying the lobby of the building, and making the structure unusable.
The police services, an actual law enforcement department, patrols several campuses within the Contra Costa Community College District, but is based at DVC. Initial estimates show about $250,000 in damage was done to the structure, as well as $75,000 to the contents inside the office.
In other countries, police are not allowed to set foot on college campuses. Yet in the United States, college bureaucrats welcome these armed thugs, hoping that they will keep the youth in line and prevent student revolts from taking place. With schools increasingly looking like prisons, we can only hope for more acts of resistance.
As of yet, the police have named no suspects. unfortunately, the police department will still be able to function, though with less comfort. They will now be working out of a conference room in the business and foreign language department. They must now also work with the knowledge that there is a passion of resistance growing around them.
In solidarity with the anonymous arsonists,

This is a wonderful action. Thank you so much!

this action improves the safety of people living in or coming to concord

yo, to the person above who is using a similar monicker as me, post under a different name please.

This type of action is stupid and will only get those of us who have been working within the anarchist movement for years in jail and persecuted. You kids need to get a grip on shit and stop doing infantile bullshit. Your inability to organize a real working class movement against the state is showing.
by ha
working class movement?

youve got to be kidding

whats is "the working class"

the working class are the ones who get home fro ma 10 hour shift fucking hate life and wanna crack a beer and watch tv, so you have to deal with the spectacle of modern society, because from what ive seen it seems like the working class is pretty fine with their suburb houses and reality tv.

its one tracked naive minds like yours that makes it impossible to have any type of real honest discourse, because you deify a group of people, most of whom have no fucking idea you exist nor care.
by jankyHellface
You don't have to ask me what a working class movement looks like. You just have to spend some time reading some history of the past 100+ years to see what a working class anarchist movement is.

I've witnessed too many anarchists and activists get swept up into the "police state" because of actions like this. What is gained from it? More cops on your campus? that's for sure. Every anarchist in Concord or on your campus getting swept up into grand jurys? yep. A bunch of activists in jail? yep.

For what?
by Piss off ya little punks
does it take to start a fire in a state that is currently burning, under red flag warnings, has every firefighter in the state so exhausted they're calling them in from others states?

I mean really, what kind of brains does that take? I don't know why you people are worried about whether or not there are cops on campus. You don't sound nearly intelligent enough to even BE on campus.

Just when I began to lose faith in Concord.... :)

what you said is legitimate, but that is going to happen as soon as their power is threatened, you know this.

whether it be a burning police station, or workers striking, once the power of the state is threatened they push back, we cant expect them to just give up.

they will fight to the ruthless end to keep their hold on everyone, fear of repression cannot be used to back out of the responsibility of action.
by Me
People who try peaceful tactics against the state get fucked with hard in return. If you work, it's about the same as putting your balls into your enemy's hands before a fight and saying "look you have my balls so please don't hurt me too much". To bad, their usual reaction to this is neither to fight fair now rip them completely off (though the latter is more probable), but rather they whip a tight chain around your sack and then proceed to torture you in a condition where you can't fight back.

That is, if you actually bother to do anything. But you "working class" anarchists (with VERY rare exception) are the ones who sit around having periodic "anarchist meetings", wearing "capitalism sucks" t-shirts that you bought from a chain store, while the police are savagely beating people right outside.

The post above is such a crock. I've been an anarchist activist for over 10 years and have put thousands of hours into organizing anarchist events. I have witnessed and participated in pretty much every large anarchist event in the Bay Area for over 5 years. Ask around, people probably know me and can tell you that I am much more active than what you try to make it seem.

I'm sorry, I haven't heard anyone answer my questions. I'm not against the action because I'm a peace loving hippy. If you are ready to do something without much thought of the consequences --should you not answer criticisms from other anarchists? Knee-jerk comments about someone's integrity aint gonna get you very far.
by just a thought
I think the life lived in fear is not a life worth living. We already live in a police state with raids, grand juries, etc. Will this action (if it really was done by anarchists... I think this group is actually a hoax) increase that? Only slightly in comparison. Forgive my terrible metaphors, but it is kind of like a terminally ill cancer patient worried about stubbing their toe. Besides, since when have anarchists let the police not only dictate their actions (which I can understand) but allowed the police to scare them into denouncing any attacks on them (the police). If we are afraid, if we get caught up in arguing tactics at the expense of celebrating ANY kind of resistance, then the state has already won. And any experienced anarchist should know that.

ok, im new to this site, so hello.

I like the stuff I am hearing. this country is somewhat oppressive in some ways. I have found that when i say what UI am doing ,and I am minding my own shit, thebn the cops check me out and move on , or just move on.

heres my problem with police. 1. I dont think they do shit worth the 55 k per year they are getting paid. bullshit, driving aorund in squad cars eating doughnuts. I know the shit they have to deal with, but there are not shootings every day, and no dagerous shit each day, only once in a while. an anmored vest is enough to pretct your ass, we dont need to bankrupt the people to cover yuo any more than that, I think 22.- k per year is pretty fair. lets improve our colleges instead. thata lot of money for makinga police state that I dont want to live in. If I get to drive a tank, owned by the college that comes out once a year, thats different , but they dont have any tanks around for me to check out, so its wasted dough.

this was what I saw, and It really made me emotional, and I agreed so much with this statement (above):

"I dont want to live in fear"

exactly. i don't want to live in fear. at all. none. I want freedom, and relaxation while I go about my schedule of work, and I also want nice working conditions and stuff like that.

Im afraid that power is what controls humans, money and power, sometimes, not girls, but the general "system" if you will , is sometimes controlled by that

I am in los angeles from time to time, so if you know the megalopolis that la is, in certain places, then , well I guess you kniw what the star wars "empire" is. storm troppers, etc, troppers, lol,

"Your inability to organize a real working class movement against the state is showing."

love it. that was a great quote.

lets get started. yeah right.

you have to be organised in some way, labor unions for a start, um, people that all feel the same way about something and want change. difficult stuff, with all the other things people have to do, most people are not affected that much with this bullshit about the state, that they wil really do anything.

its teh ones that are affected in some way, that will risk something

courts is the way to go. wear a white suit and prove ythat you have been molested by a cop and you are half way there

i actually have a case myself. cops like to frisk you down. sick, dude. ask me questions and truct me a little, yo power hungry moither fuicker! keep yor fucking hand dot yourself.!! want to grab my shit all over and search me just casuse I was chilling by my car, then yuo find nothing, and still you are mean to me>? thats the stuff that WILL get people riled up.

I was on a film project for goodness sakes. Far from home, taking a leak beside the road. asked you if there was a restroom nearby and you treat me like that?

"to protect and serve" you lowlife prick! I bet you abuseyour wife when you get home . asshole. I will find you through te department and tell them how yuo groped my ass the way you did. sick what sick experince.

oh, i started with the working class movement concept and then told a real life story about me, aha, well um truth is truth.
there you go.

(I now carry a binder that has information about my film department and the teachers phone numbers in hope a passing officer will understand what I am there for. ) early morning shots of sunrises at faraway locations" is what i say cause they can understand the early moring night sleep over thing. no im not there to sell guns. its filmmaking, you dickhead. *im actually there to scout locations and see new possibly filming sitesm bu then they can say yuore not allowed ot do that, so i juts say I want sunrise shots in the early morning. (yuo gotta give em something they can understand,)

=================

youre right

shouldnt call yourselves anarchists ,,,,, its kind of mean soudning,

gotta be something nice. soudning. like peace loving hippy.

remember its the courts p o v. if the cops look militaristic compared to you then you are on the right track.

if the cops look nice compared to the way yuo look, then yuo are in trouble.

note, that if they actually get yuo into jail for doing something really really terrible to someone, or to something, then , um yuo wont look that good when they pull yuo out of the jail and stick you in a chair wearing the prison uniform.

if you do something really bad, then yuo could look like that.

its all relative" is a favorite expression of mine.

just remember, that if you are really helpless, then you are basically screwed.

yo gotta have something.

either 1. money 2. stable job with house, etc, 3. friends 4. court friends/connections
5. a little bit of everything ( my personal fav)

or 6. live far , far away from any major city

thats a nice one too.

buy a truck camper. (brand new, not an old one.) (yeah i know, save your money for it, consider about 15 . k for it)

tv show on recently. quote from the music: "nothing from nothing aint nothin"

good point
by m

dude, stupid.

define anarchy.

= equals -------- "chaos"

no court will look nicely onto that, my friend.

yes this is the domain of the courts, genius. I have to remind you of that? fine , i will remind that an infinite amount of times.

call your selves: "yippies"
or "peace loving hippies"
how about "community protectors"

or maybe "child protectors"
or "fun protectors"

not anarchists. thats' anarchy I woudl rather livein a police state , than total anarchy, you dont know fear unless you know what true anrchy woudl mean...

by m
in no way am I condoning or supporting the actions of the damage to the police station, just was expressing my feelings regarding some issues.
