In a historic debate, thousands of delegates of the SEIU which is the second largest union in the country discussed and debated the centralization and restructuring of the SEIU. Delegates from California were central in raising questions about democracy, secret corporate-labor deals and accountability of funds of the union. Also Puerto Rican teachers who are members of the FNPR picketed the convention and were attacked by "shock" police called in by the SEIU leadership.
We will present a video of these developments and also interviews with some of the participants. It also took place in the midst of the Democratic primary campaign and more than 20,000 people marched for independence.

The Labor Video Project produces a bi-weekly TV show called Labor On The Job and produces labor video documentaries and labor media information. It's show is programmed in San Francisco, Philadelphia and St. Louis.
