Queer Folks & Nonviolent Communication

Those of us who identify as queer can get a lot of practice with honesty. Would you like some support and tools for clear and honest communication with people who matter to you? This workshop will address how Nonviolent Communication (NVC) can help you find and keep the relationships you want, develop your personal power, strengthen your ability to speak up for your needs, and cultivate the qualities of empathy and honesty – with yourself and others. Expect to laugh and get tips and practice in Coming Out to family, friends and co-workers, dealing with homo/bi/transphobia, communicating on difficult issues with your partner/s and others & being more at ease in your own skin.
