PARTY IN THE PARK WITH RAGING GRANNIES PERFORMING WITH MARIACHI BAND.
HELP US HONOR LOCAL HISTORIC FIGURE JUANA BRIONES.
WHEN: SATURDAY JUNE 7
1:00PM
WOMEN ARE BEING REWRITTEN BACK INTO HISTORY!
Juana Briones was a Latina pioneer of California's Rancho period, who was ahead of her time. The Raging Grannies honor her and have worked with historic preservationists, Stanford archaeologists, and Latina/Latino activists to preserve her legacy and we are on our way to a big win...it looks as if the Santa Clara County Superior Court will rule to save her historic house in Palo Alto THIS WEEK!
Jorge Prado's fabulous Mariachi band will accompany the Grannies on songs we wrote about Juana. We will also sing songs about peace and health care depending on "audience" request. Please come and be part of our celebration!
Some cold drinks will be provided and the
press is invited.
