Pro Palestine demo at "Israel in the Gardens" event

Today the Yerba Buena Gardens in downtown San Francisco was the site for a "celebration" of 60 years since the founding of the state of Israel. This event is known as the Nakba (the Catastrophe) to Palestinians, thousands of whom were forced to leave their homes and flee for their lives and have still been refused right of return. Palestinians and allies gathered to let the celebrants know that the resistance continues and 60 years of occupation, apartheid, ethnic cleansing and oppression is nothing to celebrate.
