Come celebrate the multimedia accomplishments of San Leandro High's teen filmmakers as we offer a film festival highlighting works of SLAM! the San Leandro Academy for Multimedia . These sophomores, juniors, and seniors are learning their core classes through use of digital photography, animation, web design, video production, 3D graphics, and special effects.
Animated shorts including the reproduction cycle of a cell, Harvey Milk, a clay man who falls into a drawn world, the story of a boy with no name, and a pear dance.
Four separate memorial pieces for Greg Ballard, Nayanci Gonzolez, Dominique Williams, and Melissa Jackson. Two PSAs on the dangers of smoking. More short films featuring the dangers of dancing without a belt, a skateboard taking a ride without it's owner, how to make a tape shoe, Steven Biko, Sunkist soda, a poem by Jason Wong, and an epic struggle for a hotpocket.
