This is a program introducing "Away With All Gods!Unchaining the Mind and Radically Changing the World" by Bob Avakian. Bob Avakian is a revolutionary Communist and Chairman of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA who is veteran of the Free Speech Movement and the revolutionary upsurges of the 1960's. This book raises challenging questions about 'Is believing in gods actually harmful? How has Christianity for centuries served as an ideology of conquest and subjugation? Why is there a rise in religious fundamentalism throughout the world? Why is patriarchy and the oppression of women so foundational to so many religions? Can people be good without god? 'Whether you believe in god,or are an agnostic or atheist, Bob Avakian will challenge you with his powerful critique of long established traditions and his liberating vision of a radically different world. So check out this exciting event and engage with other people on these very relevant and important questions.
