My Burmese artist and humanitarian will be the guest at a fun-raiser (do-it-yourself fingerpainted gift cards) and art show at Citizen Space. http://www.citizenspace.us, 425 2nd Street, #300, San Francisco, CA. He's got his visa, and is set to go next week.

He goes back to his village to bring medicine, water purifiers, books, and whatever's requested usually twice a year. His last visit was in April. Then Cyclone Nargis hit -- so he's headed right back with aid supplies.

Simply come by to enjoy a taste of Burma and show your support of an individual headed to help Burmese cyclone survivors next week.

He does some really glorious fingerpaint (yup, handmade!) cards - come observe, and/or create your own.

Scrumptious Burmese food will be served.

Donations accepted (never mandatory) $7-10.

"My Burmese artist and humanitarian will be the guest..." maybe she meant to include the word "friend" in there?
