Re-Leaf Hearing Continued and 1st Read of Extension Ordinance Results
The Re-Leaf notice of violation hearing has been extended to June 4th due to the yet
uncertain outcome of the deadline extension ordinance. Re-Leaf is in the mist of an
arduous re-location process, and thus must stay open at its current location at
21st St. until they receive a final permit for their new location in SOMA in order
to finance the costly move.

Dear San Francisco Medical Cannabis Community,

On a positive note, the Board of Supervisors voted 10-1 in favor of the deadline
extension ordinance which would give dispensaries until January 21st, 2099 to
receive final permits from the city. The Board will have a second reading
of the ordinance for final approval next Tuesday at their regular hearing in city
hall at 2:30p.m. The ordinance then goes to the Mayor's office were it will sit for
10 days. After 10 days, the ordinance will sit for 30 days and then go into effect.
RETRACTION: On a previous posting, we had erroneously mentioned that 3 dispensaries
had received their final permits. Unfortunately, these dispensaries had only passed
through the Mayor's Office on Disability and are now in the Department of Building
Inspections. After that, the dispensaries must still go before the Department of
Public Health to receive final permits.
