Three Wednesdays ago about 15 YRPs showed up at the MRS (Marine Recruiting Station) to yell obscenities and pro-war slogans across Shattuck Ave at CodePINK in between the cacophony of horn honks and cheers from pro-peace Berkeleyans passing by.

We challenged the YRPs to engage in a real exchange and debate us.

Two Wednesdays ago, Kimbery accepted our challenge on behalf of the YRPs and scheduled this debate for tonite at 7:00pm on campus.

Yesterday, she emailed that they no longer wanted to debate tonite, but they want to wait until next semester!

We in CodePINK can NOT wait. 4072 U.S. soldiers are dead; thousands of Iraqis have been killed in the past few weeks alone, many yesterday in Sadr City killed by drones controlled from Las Vegas. 1.4 youth might be recruited at the MRS this month.

YRPs have canceled their own debate to wait until they can get more students - HA! Bush's rating has stayed the lowest for the longest time ever in the history of our country. 81% of the people think we are going in the wrong direction.

YRPs need to face the facts. They are in BERKELEY now. We have ALWAYS been against war, especially this war.

We will be on campus by Sather Gate 6:30pm with signs "Where are the Republicans?" "Where are the pro-war students?" We will set up a debate corner!

Come to the debate!
