Queer/Straight Alliance Mock-Wedding

Since the feddies refuse to recognize our unions, we'll just have to pretend! Join us for a few hours of fabulous theatrical fun that includes free food, free goodies, and free admission. We are celebrating Marriage Equality Month on Thursday May 8th, 12 noon-2pm on the Agora Stage outside the University Union, sponsored by the Queer/Straight Alliance and Associated Students. We will have 1 Wiccan handfasting, 1 Jewish ceremony (both same-sex couples), and after that anyone is free to go up on stage and say vows as a way to make a statement about marriage equality. We will also be hosting an LGBT Resource Fair right next to it that will have about 12 organizations. The campus is accessible by AC Transit Bus 92 all day. For more info, please email us.
