Young artists (ages 16 to 18) from Youth Spirit Artworks and seminary students from the Graduate Theological Union will hold an ART INSTALLATION/MEMORIAL SERVICE on Tuesday May 6th 11:30am to 1pm honoring and celebrating family and friends in youth (and others) lives who have been killed by violence this year. The event will take place at Berkeley Technology Academy, 2701 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Berkeley, CA (corner Derby) in the Auditorium. 100 people are expected.

The Art Installation will feature chairs painted by seminarians of "saints and prophets" who stand in solidarity with those who die from violence. "Art Chairs" painted by youth from YSA's program will also be featured symbolizing "continued Spirit and Life in the midst of death." Youth and others attending will memorialize those who have been killed or died by writing the names of loved ones on leaves on a central "art tree."

Fried chicken lunch will take place from 11:35am to 12:10pm
The memorial service will take place from 12:10pm to 1pm
