Saturday 12 April: Raid on Scientology: OPERATION RECONNECT

640_smash_1.jpg
Date:
Saturday, April 12, 2008
Time:
11:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Event Type:
Protest
Organizer/Author:
Anonymous
Location Details:
"Church" of Scientology, 701 Montgomery Street, San Francisco. right up the street from Montgomery BART/Muni; across the street from TransAmerica Building.

Please join us in San Francisco (and cities EVERYWHERE) for OPERATION RECONNECT. A large protest at every Scientology "church" and official office worldwide took place on the 10th of February, 2008. This was the first major worldwide protest, with about 7000 people participating in at least 108 cities worldwide. The second successful global protest was on the 15th of March, with at least 10,000 participants in 110 cities. Our next protest, focusing on the "Disconnection" policy, is on April 12th. The name of Operation Reconnect stems from the "Church" of Scientology's notorious "Disconnection" policy, under which individuals within the cult are forbidden contact with those whom the cult deems to be a threat to its security. In most cases, these are merely people who are worried and voice concerns about loved ones inside the cult. This policy is used frequently by Scientology to separate families, creating a rift between those outside Scientology and those trapped within it. This also serves the purpose of removing any social supports an individual has outside the "Church," making it more difficult for them to end their affiliation with this vicious and wealthy organization.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH SCIENTOLOGY?
= Breaking family through its doctrine of "disconnection"
= Doctrine of "destroying utterly" what it perceives as opposition to Scientology, through its "dead agent", and "fair game" policies
= Long track record of false imprisonment against its own members = Fanatical, irrational, (and outright creepy) anti-psychiatry doctrine
= Doctrine of hard sell with no regards to the financial well-being of people
= Doctrine of infiltration to gain leverage to spread its own worldview, and to shield against accountability
= Condoning lying to protect and further Scientology goals
= Attack on free speech, in order to keep people uninformed
= A worthless "Personality test" deceptively used for recruitment purpose
= Practicing medicine without a license, while deceptively describing itself as a science that can cure disease, physical illnesses
= Forcing its members to go through mental and physical duress through the "Rehabilitation Project Force" in order to coerce them to comply to Scientology doctrine
= "Suppressive Person" doctrine promoting hate and intolerance
= Abusive treatment of children
= Its track record of using blackmail to prevent its own members from leaving, speaking out
= Track record of destroying evidences to escape full accountability
= etc. etc. etc.

Are maoists or communists organizing this protest? Is that why that picture was put up? I am against the scientologists, but also maoists as well. Communism can be just as big of a cult.
